Dlaczego narody się buntują, czemu ludy knują daremne zamysły?
Królowie ziemi powstają i władcy spiskują wraz z nimi przeciw Panu i przeciw Jego Pamazańcowi: Stargajmy Ich więzy i odrzućmy od siebie Ich pęta!
Śmieje się Ten, który mieszka w niebie, Pan się z nich naigrawa, a wtedy mówi do nich w swoim gniewie i w swej zapalczywości ich trwoży: Przecież Ja ustanowiłem sobie króla na Syjonie, świętej górze mojej.
Ogłoszę postanowienie Pana: Powiedział do mnie: Tyś Synem moim, Ja Ciebie dziś zrodziłem.
Żądaj ode Mnie, a dam Ci narody w dziedzictwo i w posiadanie Twoje krańce ziemi.
Żelazną rózgą będziesz nimi rządzić i jak naczynie garncarza ich pokruszysz.
A teraz, królowie, zrozumcie, nauczcie się, sędziowie ziemi!
Służcie Panu z bojaźnią i Jego nogi ze drżeniem całujcie, bo zapłonie gniewem i poginiecie w drodze, gdyż gniew Jego prędko wybucha.
Szczęśliwi wszyscy, co w Nim szukają ucieczki.

Dlaczego narody się buntują, czemu ludy knują daremne zamysły?:

Ponieważ, choć Boga poznali, nie oddali Mu czci jako Bogu ani Mu nie dziękowali, lecz znikczemnieli w swoich myślach i zaćmione zostało bezrozumne ich serce. Podając się za mądrych stali się głupimi. I zamienili chwałę niezniszczalnego Boga na podobizny i obrazy śmiertelnego człowieka, ptaków, czworonożnych zwierząt i płazów” (Rz 1:21-23)
Czy jakiś naród zmienił swoich bogów? A ci przecież nie są wcale bogami! Mój zaś naród zamienił swoją Chwałę na to, co nie może pomóc (Jr 2:11)
Mówi głupi w swoim sercu: Nie ma Boga. Oni są zepsuci, ohydne rzeczy popełniają, nikt nie czyni dobrze. Pan spogląda z nieba na synów ludzkich, badając, czy jest wśród nich rozumny, który szukałby Boga? Wszyscy razem zbłądzili, stali się nikczemni: nie ma takiego, co dobrze czyni, nie ma ani jednego (Ps 14:1-3)
Grobem otwartym jest ich gardło, językiem swoim knują zdradę, jad żmijowy pod ich wargami, ich usta pełne są przekleństwa i goryczy (Rz 3:11-14)
To przede wszystkim wiecie, że przyjdą w ostatnich dniach szydercy pełni szyderstwa, którzy będą postępowali według własnych żądz i będą mówili: Gdzie jest obietnica Jego przyjścia? Odkąd bowiem ojcowie zasnęli, wszystko jednakowo trwa od początku świata (2 P 3:3-4)
Pan zaś mówi: „Droga występnych zaginie” (Ps 1:3-6)
Zły szuka jedynie buntu (Prz 17:11)

Królowie ziemi powstają i władcy spiskują wraz z nimi przeciw Panu i przeciw Jego Pamazańcowi:
Stargajmy Ich więzy i odrzućmy od siebie Ich pęta:

W owym dniu… Oto uczynię Jeruzalem upajającą czarą dla wszystkich postronnych narodów. Na Judę również ześlę doświadczenie w czasie oblężenia Jeruzalem. W owym dniu uczynię Jeruzalem ciężkim głazem dla wszystkich ludów. Każdy, kto go spróbuje podnieść, dotkliwie się pokaleczy. Wszystkie narody się zgromadzą przeciw niemu - Jeruzalem (Za 12:2-3)
W owym dniu sprawię, że wszystkie ludy, które targnęły się na Jeruzalem, będą zniszczone (Za 12:9)
Wszystkie ludy zgromadzę do walki z Jerozolimą. (Za 14:2)
Wielki jest Pan i godzien wielkiej chwały w mieście Boga naszego. Góra Jego święta, wspaniałe wzgórze, radością jest całej ziemi; góra Syjon, kraniec północy, jest miastem wielkiego Króla. Bóg w jego zamkach okazuje się obroną. Oto bowiem złączyli się królowie i razem natarli (Ps 48:2)
Narody szumią, jak szumią wezbrane wody, ale Pan je zgromi, i umkną daleko: będą porwane na góry jak plewa przez wicher i jak tuman kurzu przez burzę (Iz 17:13)
Bo oto czyhają na moje życie, możni przeciw mnie spiskują, a we mnie nie ma zbrodni ani grzechu, o Panie, bez mojej winy przybiegają i napastują. Obudź się, wyjdź mi na spotkanie i zobacz, bo Ty, Panie, Boże Zastępów, jesteś Bogiem Izraela. Przebudź się, by skarcić wszystkie ludy, nie miej litości dla wszystkich podłych buntowników (Ps 59:2-6)
Jego potęga włada na wieki; oczy Jego śledzą narody: niech się buntownicy nie podnoszą przeciw Niemu! (Ps 66:7)

Śmieje się Ten, który mieszka w niebie, Pan się z nich naigrawa,
a wtedy mówi do nich w swoim gniewie i w swej zapalczywości ich trwoży:
Przecież Ja ustanowiłem sobie króla na Syjonie, świętej górze mojej:

On to zmienia okresy i czasy, usuwa królów i ustanawia królów, udziela mędrcom mądrości, a wiedzy rozumnym (Dn 2:21)
W Salem powstał Jego przybytek a na Syjonie Jego mieszkanie. Tam złamał pioruny łuku, tarczę i miecz, i zbroję (Ps 76:3-4)
Od Twojej groźby, Boże Jakuba, zdrżały rydwany i konie. Jesteś straszliwy i któż Ci się oprze w obliczu Twego zagniewania? (Ps 76:7-8)
Ogłosiłeś z nieba swój wyrok, przelękła się ziemia, zamilkła, gdy Bóg na sąd się podniósł, by ocalić wszystkich pokornych na ziemi (Ps 76:9)
Góra Jego święta, wspaniałe wzgórze, radością jest całej ziemi; góra Syjon, kraniec północy, jest miastem wielkiego Króla. Bóg w jego zamkach okazuje się obroną… Zaledwie ujrzeli, zdrętwieli, zmieszali się i uciekli. Drżenie ich tam chwyciło jak bóle kobietę, gdy rodzi, takie - jak kiedy wiatr wschodni druzgoce okręty z Tarszisz (Ps 48:6-8)
Na głos Twej groźby uciekają ludy, gdy się podniesiesz, pierzchają narody (Iz 33:3)
Ty mnie ocalasz od buntów ludu, ustanawiasz mnie głową narodów. Służy mi lud, którego nie znałem. są mi posłuszni na pierwsze wezwanie; cudzoziemcy mi schlebiają. Cudzoziemcy bledną, z drżeniem wychodzą ze swoich warowni (Ps 18:44-46)

Ogłoszę postanowienie Pana: Powiedział do mnie: Tyś Synem moim, Ja Ciebie dziś zrodziłem:

On jest obrazem Boga niewidzialnego - Pierworodnym wobec każdego stworzenia… On jest Początkiem, Pierworodnym spośród umarłych (Kol 1:15)
Ja będę Mu Ojcem, a On będzie Mi Synem (Hbr 1:5)
Z łona jutrzenki jak rosę Cię zrodziłem (Ps 110:3)
Gdy on jeszcze mówił, oto obłok świetlany osłonił ich, a z obłoku odezwał się głos: To jest mój Syn umiłowany, w którym mam upodobanie, Jego słuchajcie! (Mt 17:5)
Dziecię nam się narodziło, Syn został nam dany (Iz 9:5)
Oto panna pocznie i porodzi syna (Iz 7:14)
A teraz przemówił Pan, który mnie ukształtował od urodzenia na swego Sługę, bym nawrócił do Niego Jakuba i zgromadził Mu Izraela. A mówił: To zbyt mało, iż jesteś Mi Sługą dla podźwignięcia pokoleń Jakuba i sprowadzenia ocalałych z Izraela! Ustanowię cię światłością dla pogan, aby moje zbawienie dotarło aż do krańców ziemi (Iz 49:6)

Żądaj ode Mnie, a dam Ci narody w dziedzictwo i w posiadanie Twoje krańce ziemi:

Jezus - Władca królów ziemi (Ap 1:5)
Wiele diademów na Jego głowie (Ap 19:12)
Nabyłeś Bogu krwią twoją ludzi z każdego pokolenia, języka, ludu i narodu, i uczyniłeś ich Bogu naszemu królestwem i kapłanami, a będą królować na ziemi (Ap 5:9-10)
Syn Człowieczy, obleczony[w szatę] do stóp i przepasany na piersiach złotym pasem (Ap 1:13)
Przyjdą wszystkie ludy, które stworzyłeś, i Tobie, Panie, pokłon oddadzą, i będą sławiły Twe imię (Ps 86:9)
Dlatego też Bóg Go nad wszystko wywyższył i darował Mu imię ponad wszelkie imię, aby na imię Jezusa zgięło się każde kolano istot niebieskich i ziemskich i podziemnych. I aby wszelki język wyznał, że Jezus Chrystus jest PANEM - ku chwale Boga Ojca. (Flp 2:9-11)
Wszystko przez Niego i dla Niego zostało stworzone. On jest przed wszystkim (Kol 1:16)
Wyrocznia Boga dla Pana mego: Siądź po mojej prawicy, aż Twych wrogów położę jako podnóżek pod Twoje stopy. Twoje potężne berło niech Pan rozciągnie z Syjonu: Panuj wśród swych nieprzyjaciół! Przy Tobie panowanie w dniu Twej potęgi, w świętych szatach będziesz (Ps 110:1)

Żelazną rózgą będziesz nimi rządzić i jak naczynie garncarza ich pokruszysz:

Ty je okiełznasz swą żelazną władzą, z łatwością ich skruszysz jak naczynia z gliny A z Jego ust wychodzi ostry miecz, by nim uderzyć narody: On paść je będzie rózgą żelazną i On wyciska tłocznię wina zapalczywego gniewu wszechmocnego Boga (Ap19:15)
Odziany jest w szatę we krwi skąpaną, a imię Jego nazwano: Słowo Boga. A wojska, które są w niebie, towarzyszyły Mu na białych koniach - wszyscy odziani w biały, czysty bisior (Ap 19:13-14)
Któż to jest Ten, który przybywa z Edomu, z Bosry idzie w szatach szkarłatnych? Ten wspaniały w swoim odzieniu, który kroczy z wielką swą mocą? - To Ja jestem tym, który mówi sprawiedliwie, potężny w wybawianiu. Dlaczego krwawa jest Twoja suknia i szaty Twe jak u tego, co wygniata winogrona w tłoczni? Sam jeden wygniatałem je do kadzi, z narodów - ani jednego nie było ze Mną. Tłoczyłem je w moim gniewie i deptałem je w mojej porywczości. Posoka ich obryzgała Mi szaty i poplamiłem sobie całe odzienie. Albowiem dzień pomsty był w moim sercu i nadszedł rok mojej odpłaty (Iz 63:1-4)
Zdeptałem ludy w moim rozgniewaniu, starłem je w mojej zapalczywości, sprawiłem, że krew ich spłynęła na ziemię (Iz 63:6)
Bohaterze, przypasz do biodra swój miecz, swą chlubę i ozdobę! Szczęśliwie wstąp na rydwan w obronie wiary, pokory i sprawiedliwości, a prawica twoja niech ci wskaże wielkie czyny! Strzały twoje są ostre – ludy poddają się tobie - trafiają w serce wrogów króla (Ps 45:4-6)
Pan po Twojej prawicy zetrze królów w dniu swego gniewu. Będzie sądził narody, wzniesie stosy trupów, zetrze głowy jak ziemia szeroka (Ps 110:5-6)

A teraz, królowie, zrozumcie, nauczcie się, sędziowie ziemi!
Służcie Panu z bojaźnią
i Jego nogi ze drżeniem całujcie, bo zapłonie gniewem i poginiecie w drodze, gdyż gniew Jego prędko wybucha:

Pan najwyższy, straszliwy, jest wielkim Królem nad całą ziemią (Ps 47:3)
Grzesznicy na Syjonie się zlękli, bezbożnych chwyciło drżenie: Kto z nas wytrzyma przy trawiącym ogniu? Kto z nas wytrwa wobec wieczystych płomieni? (Iz 33:14)
Niechaj bezbożny porzuci swą drogę i człowiek nieprawy swoje knowania. Niech się nawróci do Pana, a Ten się nad nim zmiłuje, i do Boga naszego, gdyż hojny jest w przebaczaniu (Iz 55:7)
A na szacie i na biodrze swym ma wypisane imię: KRÓL KRÓLÓW PAN PANÓW (Ap 19:16)
Dlatego też Bóg Go nad wszystko wywyższył i darował Mu imię ponad wszelkie imię, aby na imię Jezusa zgięło się każde kolano istot niebieskich i ziemskich i podziemnych. I aby wszelki język wyznał, że Jezus Chrystus jest PANEM - ku chwale Boga Ojca (Flp 2:9-11)
Przeto i teraz jeszcze - wyrocznia Pana: Nawróćcie się do Mnie całym swym sercem, przez post i płacz, lament. Rozdzierajcie jednak serca wasze, a nie szaty! Nawróćcie się do Pana Boga waszego! On bowiem jest łaskawy, miłosierny, nieskory do gniewu i wielki w łaskawości, a lituje się na widok niedoli (Jl 2:12-13)
Królowie zobaczą cię i powstaną, książęta padną na twarz, przez wzgląd na Pana, który jest wierny, na Świętego Izraelowego (Iz 49:7)

Why do the nations conspire and the peoples plot in vain?
The kings of the earth rise up and the rulers band together against the Lord and against his anointed, saying, “Let us break their chains and throw off their shackles."
The One enthroned in heaven laughs; he Lord scoffs at them.
He rebukes them in his anger and terrifies them in his wrath, saying, “I have installed my king on Zion, my holy mountain."
I will proclaim the Lord’s decree: He said to me, “You are my son; today I have become your father.
Ask me, and I will make the nations your inheritance, the ends of the earth your possession.
You will break them with a rod of iron; you will dash them to pieces like pottery".
Therefore, you kings, be wise; be warned, you rulers of the earth.
Serve the Lord with fear and celebrate his rule with trembling.
Kiss his son, or he will be angry and your way will lead to your destruction, for his wrath can flare up in a moment.

Why do the nations conspire and the peoples plot in vain?:

For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like a mortal human being and birds and animals and reptiles (Rz 1:21-23)
Has a nation ever changed its gods? Yet they are not gods at all. But my people have exchanged their glorious God for worthless idols (Jr 2:11)
The fool says in his heart, “There is no God." They are corrupt, their deeds are vile; there is no one who does good. The Lord looks down from heaven on all mankind to see if there are any who understand, any who seek God. All have turned away, all have become corrupt; there is no one who does good, not even one (Ps 14:1-3)
Their throats are open graves; their tongues practice deceit. The poison of vipers is on their lips. Their mouths are full of cursing and bitterness (Rz 3:13-14)
Above all, you must understand that in the last days scoffers will come, scoffing and following their own evil desires. They will say, “Where is this ‘coming’ he promised? Ever since our ancestors died, everything goes on as it has since the beginning of creation" (2 P 3:3-4)
the way of the wicked leads to destruction (Ps 1:6)
Evildoers foster rebellion against God (Prz 17:11)

The kings of the earth rise up and the rulers band together against the Lord and against his anointed, saying,
"Let us break their chains and throw off their shackles":

"I am going to make Jerusalem a cup that sends all the surrounding peoples reeling. Judah will be besieged as well as Jerusalem. On that day, when all the nations of the earth are gathered against her, I will make Jerusalem an immovable rock for all the nations (Za 12:2-3)
On that day I will set out to destroy all the nations that attack Jerusalem (Za 12:9)
I will gather all the nations to Jerusalem to fight against it (Za 14:2)
Great is the Lord, and most worthy of praise, in the city of our God, his holy mountain. Like the heights of Zaphon is Mount Zion, the city of the Great King. God is in her citadels; he has shown himself to be her fortress. When the kings joined forces, when they advanced together… (Ps 48:1-4)
Although the peoples roar like the roar of surging waters, when he rebukes them they flee far away, driven before the wind like chaff on the hills, like tumbleweed before a gale (Iz 17:13)
See how they lie in wait for me! Fierce men conspire against me for no offense or sin of mine, Lord. I have done no wrong, yet they are ready to attack me. Arise to help me; look on my plight! You, Lord God Almighty, you who are the God of Israel, rouse yourself to punish all the nations; show no mercy to wicked traitors. They return at evening, snarling like dogs, and prowl about the city (Ps 59:3-6) He rules forever by his power, his eyes watch the nations - let not the rebellious rise up against him (Ps 66:7)

He changes times and seasons; he deposes kings and raises up others. He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to the discerning (Dn 2:21)
His tent is in Salem, his dwelling place in Zion. There he broke the flashing arrows, the shields and the swords, the weapons of war (Ps 76:3-4)
At your rebuke, God of Jacob, both horse and chariot lie still. It is you alone who are to be feared. Who can stand before you when you are angry? (Ps 76:7-8)
From heaven you pronounced judgment, and the land feared and was quiet when you, God, rose up to judge, to save all the afflicted of the land (Ps 76:8-9)
Beautiful in its loftiness, the joy of the whole earth, like the heights of Zaphon is Mount Zion, the city of the Great King. God is in her citadels; he has shown himself to be her fortress. When they advanced together, they saw her and were astounded; they fled in terror. Trembling seized them there, pain like that of a woman in labor. You destroyed them like ships of Tarshish shattered by an east wind (Ps 48:2-7)
At the uproar of your army, the peoples flee; when you rise up, the nations scatter (Iz 33:3)
You have delivered me from the attacks of the people; you have made me the head of nations. People I did not know now serve me, foreigners cower before me; as soon as they hear of me, they obey me. They all lose heart; they come trembling from their strongholds (Ps 18:43-45)

I will proclaim the Lord’s decree: He said to me, "You are my son; today I have become your father"

The Son is the image of the invisible God - the firstborn over all creation… he is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead (Kol 1:15)
You are my Son; today I have become your Father (Hbr 1:5)
Like dew from the morning’s womb (Ps 110:3)
While he was still speaking, a bright cloud covered them, and a voice from the cloud said, "This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased. Listen to him!" (Mt 17:5)
For to us a child is born, to us a Son is given (Iz 9:5)
The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son (Iz 7:14)
And now the Lord says - he who formed me in the womb to be his servant to bring Jacob back to him and gather Israel to himself, for I am[a] honored in the eyes of the Lord and my God has been my strength - he says: "It is too small a thing for you to be my servant to restore the tribes of Jacob and bring back those of Israel I have kept. I will also make you a light for the Gentiles, that my salvation may reach to the ends of the earth" (Iz 49:5-6)

Ask me, and I will make the nations your inheritance, the ends of the earth your possession:

Jesus - the ruler of the kings of the earth (Ap 1:5)
On his head are many crowns (Ap 19:12)
You are worthy to take the scroll and to open its seals, because you were slain, and with your blood you purchased for God persons from every tribe and language and people and nation. You have made them to be a kingdom and priests to serve our God, and they will reign on the earth (Ap 5:9-10)
Dressed in a robe reaching down to his feet and with a golden sash around his chest (Ap 1:13)
All the nations you have made will come and worship before you, Lord; they will bring glory to your name (Ps 86:9)
Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father (Flp 2:9-11)
For in him all things were created... He is before all things (Kol 1:16-17) The Lord says to my lord: "Sit at my right hand until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet. The Lord will extend your mighty scepter from Zion, saying, "Rule in the midst of your enemies!" (Ps 110:1-2)

You will break them with a rod of iron; you will dash them to pieces like pottery:

Coming out of his mouth is a sharp sword with which to strike down the nations. "He will rule them with an iron scepter". He treads the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God Almighty (Ap 19:15)
He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood, and his name is the Word of God. The armies of heaven were following him, riding on white horses and dressed in fine linen, white and clean (Ap 19:13-14)
Who is this coming from Edom, from Bozrah, with his garments stained crimson? Who is this, robed in splendor, striding forward in the greatness of his strength?"It is I, proclaiming victory, mighty to save."Why are your arments red, like those of one treading the winepress? "I have trodden the winepress alone; from the nations no one was with me. I trampled them in my anger and trod them down in my wrath;their blood spattered my garments, and I stained all my clothing. It was for me the day of vengeance; the year for me to redeem had come (Iz 63:1-4)
I trampled the nations in my anger; in my wrath I made them drunk and poured their blood on the ground (Iz 63:6)
Gird your sword on your side, you mighty one; clothe yourself with splendor and majesty. In your majesty ride forth victoriously in the cause of truth, humility and justice; let your right hand achieve awesome deeds. Let your sharp arrows pierce the hearts of the king’s enemies; let the nations fall beneath your feet (Ps 45:4-6)
The Lord is at your right hand; he will crush kings on the day of his wrath. He will judge the nations, heaping up the dead and crushing the rulers of the whole earth (Ps 110:5-6)

Therefore, you kings, be wise; be warned, you rulers of the earth.
Serve the Lord with fear and celebrate his rule with trembling.
Kiss his son, or he will be angry and your way will lead to your destruction, for his wrath can flare up in a moment:

For the Lord Most High is awesome, the great King over all the earth (Ps 47:3)
The sinners in Zion are terrified; trembling grips the godless: "Who of us can dwell with the consuming fire? Who of us can dwell with everlasting burning?" (Iz 33:14)
Let the wicked forsake their ways and the unrighteous their thoughts. Let them turn to the Lord, and he will have mercy on them, and to our God, for he will freely pardon (Iz 55:7)
On his robe and on his thigh he has this name written: King of kings and Lord of lords (Ap 19:16)
Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. (Flp 2:9-11)
"Even now," declares the Lord, "return to me with all your heart, with fasting and weeping and mourning. "Rend your heart and not your garments. Return to the Lord your God, for he is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and abounding in love, and he relents from sending calamity (Jl 2:12-13)
"Kings will see you and stand up, princes will see and bow down, because of the Lord, who is faithful, the Holy One of Israel, who has chosen you." (Iz 49:7)
